Henry Van Dyke once wrote, “Use what talents you possess: The woods would be very silent if no birds sang there except those that sang best.” The sentence is short, but it carries weight. Most of us will never be the most gifted voice in the room. If only the standout singers lifted their voices, the forest would fall quiet. The invitation is simply to use what has been given—imperfect, limited, and still needed.
