No Neutral Ground

There is a line often used in preaching: “In the matter of truth there is no neutral ground. You are either for it or against it. Silence in the face of error is itself a form of agreement.” The statement is blunt, almost uncomfortable. It refuses the modern preference for endless open-mindedness that never lands anywhere. When the church begins to treat core convictions as optional or private, this kind of reminder becomes necessary again.
