Scripture repeatedly describes a condition in which people have eyes but do not see. The problem is not lack of information. It is a deeper inability or refusal to perceive what is actually in front of them. Jesus often confronted this kind of blindness in people who knew the texts well. Sight, in the biblical sense, is a gift that must be received as well as a capacity that can be resisted.
How you’d preach it
Classic for passages about spiritual perception. Keep the tone invitational rather than accusatory.
