Psalm 58 – Rest in God’s Justice
Imagine a parent whose child is diagnosed with cancer. That parent will hate the disease with a fierce intensity. They will do whatever it takes to destroy what is destroying their child — even if the treatment itself is painful. God’s hatred of sin is like that. Sin is not a small mistake; it is a destructive disease that corrupts and kills His image-bearers. A holy God cannot be indifferent to it. Yet the same God who hates sin loves people enough to take the full weight of judgment upon Himself in the person of Jesus, so that anyone who trusts in Him can be healed and live.
