C.S. Lewis – Every Ability Belongs to God

Luke 12:35-40 – The Watchful Servants

C.S. Lewis put it this way: Every ability you have — your ability to think, to move, to act — is given to you by God. Even if you spent every moment of your entire life serving Him, you still couldn’t give Him anything that wasn’t already His in the first place. Some people live with a master mindset: “This is mine because I worked for it.” Jesus calls His followers to a servant mindset: “This was entrusted to me, and it belongs to Him.”
