Before the Rooster Crowed

Gospel accounts of Peter’s denial

Peter was certain he would never deny Jesus. Hours later he did—three times, with increasing force, before the rooster crowed. The same man later preached at Pentecost and became a pillar of the early church. The denial was real. So was the restoration. Failure under pressure does not have to be the final chapter.

How you’d preach it

Hopeful for people who have failed under pressure. Peter’s story did not end with the denial.
