Greg Ogden, Transforming Discipleship
The Christian life is described in various New Testament passages as growth from spiritual childhood toward maturity. Ogden notes that many churches settle for perpetual spiritual infancy—people who have been “in the faith” for years yet remain dependent on constant feeding rather than learning to feed themselves and others. Transformation requires intentional movement beyond the starting point.
