Psalm 115 – The Source of Hope
Have you ever noticed that long-time dog owners often start to look a bit like their dogs? Or at least people joke that they do. There’s a deeper truth underneath the joke: what we spend our time with, what we look at, what we give our affection to, eventually shapes us. We begin to resemble what we worship. Psalm 115 shows the reverse of that reality with idols — those who make them become like them (lifeless, unable to speak, see, or hear). The same principle works in the positive direction: the more we behold the Lord, the more we are transformed into His likeness.
