To say an individual is from the dominant culture means that his or her cultural context aligns closely with those who hold the greatest degree of power and influence. The alignment is often invisible to the person who enjoys it. Cross-cultural ministry and healthy multiethnic community both require learning to see what was previously assumed as “just normal.”
How you’d preach it
Those whose culture aligns with the dominant one often do not notice the advantages of that alignment.
