When the larger picture feels impossible, the call is usually smaller: do the next thing. Duty is not glamorous, but it is how most of the Christian life is actually lived—one clear, ordinary act of obedience after another. The people who finish well are often those who kept doing the next right thing when the big vision was cloudy.
