Rebecca Pippert recalls encountering a zealous Christian whose brow was furrowed, who seemed anxious and impatient, and who sounded angry—then announced he was sharing the love of Jesus. The disconnect was obvious. The message of good news can be undercut by the manner in which it is delivered. People hear the tone as loudly as the words.
