Psalm 58 – Rest in God’s Justice
I was playing a World War 2 video game a few years ago. While the game was loading, famous quotes would appear on the screen. One of them read: “An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind.” Then the game finished loading… and you went out and shot the enemy. The irony was hard to miss. The world loves the sound of non-violence until it feels wronged. Then the old cycle of retaliation quickly returns. Jesus calls His people to a different way — not because justice doesn’t matter, but because we trust the One who will judge justly.
