God Is Not Distant

Many people functionally treat God as distant—interested, perhaps, but not near. Scripture insists otherwise. The God who made the world also draws near, speaks, indwells, and acts. The Christian life is lived in the presence of a God who is not far off. That nearness is both comfort and claim.
