History
Hudson Taylor / China Inland Mission history
Hudson Taylor, founder of the China Inland Mission, lived by a simple conviction: “God’s work, done in God’s way, will never lack God’s supply.” He refused to solicit funds in the usual ways of his day. He and the mission prayed, and God provided — often at the last moment and in unexpected ways. Taylor also insisted that missionaries identify with the Chinese people as fully as possible (including dress and language), because the gospel is not a Western export but the message of a Savior for all nations. His life is a sustained illustration of radical dependence and cultural humility in mission.
How you’d preach it
