An Anchor for the Soul
Hebrews 6:19
Hebrews calls hope “a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul.” An anchor does not stop the storm. It keeps the ship from being driven. Christian hope is not the absence of difficulty. It is the confidence that the difficulty will not have the last word because the promise of God holds.
