Laughter as Gift

Laughter is not a distraction from holiness. Used well, it is a reminder that we are not the center of the universe and that the story is larger than our current embarrassment or success. A faith that cannot laugh at itself has usually begun to take itself too seriously—and that is a different kind of danger.
