Metaphor

From Small to Large

Matthew 13:31-32

Jesus compared the kingdom to a mustard seed—the smallest of seeds that becomes a tree large enough for birds to nest in. The image is hopeful for anyone whose present obedience feels too small to matter. In the kingdom, small and hidden beginnings are normal. The growth is God’s to give.

How you’d preach it

Encouragement when the work of God feels insignificant. The kingdom often begins small and grows beyond expectation.
