Analogy

To Know Him

biblical emphasis (Jeremiah 9:23-24; John 17:3)

Scripture distinguishes between knowing about God and knowing God. The first can be extensive and still leave the person unchanged. The second is relational and transforming. Jesus defined eternal life as knowing the only true God and Jesus Christ whom He has sent. The goal is not a full library. It is a living acquaintance.

How you’d preach it
