What Music Does

traditional reflection

Music bypasses some of the defenses that keep words at a distance. It can open the heart, steady the mind, or stir what had gone numb. In worship it becomes a vehicle for truth that is sung as well as said. Like every powerful gift, it can be used to form or to manipulate. The difference lies in the aim.

How you’d preach it

Music reaches places that argument often cannot. It is a gift to be stewarded.
