Only One Legitimate Reading?

A narrow categorizer has difficulty believing there can be more than one legitimate interpretation of a story or event. Cultural intelligence requires the opposite posture: the humility to allow that people formed in different contexts may see what we miss, and that our first reading is not automatically the final one.
