Sufficient for the Day

Matthew 6:34 pattern

Jesus taught not to be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble. The principle does not deny real need. It refuses to let future possibilities colonize present peace. We are given grace for what is in front of us, not for every scenario we can invent.

How you’d preach it

Against borrowing tomorrow’s trouble. Need is real; so is the limit of what we are asked to carry at once.
