Readiness is bigger than my own private faith journey. Part of what God has entrusted to us is people — friendships, neighbours, family, coworkers, and the next generation. The fact that we do not know the timing of Jesus’ return does not make these relationships less important. It makes faithful care of them more urgent. Readiness includes the ordinary work of sharing faith and helping the next generation know and love the Master we are waiting for.
