Fifty Thousand Answers

Donald Whitney on George Müller

George Müller (1805–1898) recorded more than fifty thousand specific answers to prayer. He chose to live by faith for the needs of the orphans under his care, refusing to make the needs known to anyone but God. The sheer volume of recorded answers stands as a quiet challenge to casual, vague praying. Specific requests, persistently brought, were part of his practice.
