Jesus taught not to be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.…

Analogy
Matthew 7:7
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.” The verbs are active. The promise does not remove the need for pursuit. It assures that the pursuit is not futile. Those who treat the spiritual life as a passive wait often miss what is given to those who seek.
How you’d preach it
The promise is attached to the seeking. Passive waiting is not the same as active pursuit.
