Keller writes, “Just because you can’t see or imagine a good reason why God might allow something to happen doesn’t mean there can’t be one.” If our minds are finite and God’s purposes are not, the absence of an explanation we can grasp is not evidence against God. The point protects against the assumption that unexplained pain is therefore pointless.
