Leave the Gift

Matthew 5:23-24

Jesus said that if you are offering your gift at the altar and remember that your brother has something against you, leave the gift there. First be reconciled, then come and offer. The order is striking. Unresolved relationship is allowed to interrupt worship. Reconciliation is not a side issue. It is part of the worship itself.
