River Dwellers – Rob Reimer
Rob Reimer uses the image of living in the river of God’s presence rather than merely visiting it on occasion. Many believers treat the presence of God like a place they go for special meetings or emotional highs, then return to ordinary life on the banks. Reimer calls the church to become “river dwellers” — people who learn to live continuously in awareness of and dependence on the Holy Spirit. The emphasis is on relationship and ongoing intimacy rather than sporadic experiences.
