Luke 12:35-40 – The Watchful Servants
When I do something well (which is sooo often) and someone wants to reward me, I’ll casually ask for a gift card so I can buy something for my coffee setup at home. The reward in this parable is not money, things, a greater title, or a seven-day all-inclusive trip. The reward is the honour of being served by the Master Himself — His presence, His honour, and a seat at His table. The same Jesus who served us by going to the cross tells us that His future return still centres around serving those He finds faithful.
