May 8 – Revelation 21:1-8
Imagine a long rope that stretches across the entire stage and then continues out the doors, down the street, and as far as the eye can see. The tiny section of rope that is painted red (just a few inches) represents our entire life on earth. The rest of the endless rope represents eternity. We spend so much of our energy, worry, and ambition focused on the tiny red section, while the vast majority of our existence is still ahead of us. Revelation 21 calls us to live with that longer perspective — the new heaven and new earth, where God dwells with His people forever.
