Mind Without Heart, Heart Without Mind

Brian Cosby, Giving up Gimmicks (citing classic warning)

“Beware equally of an undevotional theology (that is, mind without heart) and of an untheological devotion (that is, heart without mind).” The warning still holds. Theology that never warms the affections becomes arid. Affection that never submits to truth becomes unstable. The goal is both—mind and heart joined under Christ.

How you’d preach it

Balanced call for both doctrinal depth and genuine devotion.
