Waiting Is Not Passive

Scripture’s waiting is closer to watchfulness than to resignation. It is the posture of those who trust the character of the One who has promised and who remain ready to move when the time comes. Passive delay and hopeful waiting are not the same thing. One drifts. The other stays oriented.
