Zeal that never inconveniences us, never risks reputation, and never rearranges priorities may be only preference wearing religious language. Real zeal shows itself when following Christ requires something—time, comfort, status, or safety. The cost is not the goal. It is often the evidence.

Authentic zeal is willing to pay a price. Comfortable enthusiasm is still untested.
