Genesis 50:15–21
Joseph has the power to starve the men who sold him. He weeps, feeds them, and tells the truth twice: you meant evil, God meant it for good, to save many lives. Forgiveness here is not amnesia. It is a clear-eyed sentence that refuses both revenge and a cheap “it was fine.” Providence does not bless the pit. It overrules it.
How you’d preach it
Hold both clauses. Do not baptize abuse as a secret plan. Do not deny that God can harvest bread from a crime. The brothers still have to live with what they meant.
