A little hidden in three measures
Matthew 13:33; Luke 13:20–21
The kingdom is leaven a woman hides in flour until it is all changed. You cannot watch yeast work and you cannot stop it once it is in. Jesus pairs this with mustard. The point is not our visibility. It is an interior, spreading life that does not ask permission of the lump. Some of the most faithful work in a church looks like nothing until Sunday’s bread is different.
How you’d preach it
Use when people despair of small obedience. Hidden is not the same as absent. Do not rush the rising.
