Luke 15
Object lesson
Luke 15:8–10
A woman loses one of ten coins, lights a lamp, sweeps, and then calls the neighbors to rejoice. Luke pairs her with a shepherd and a father. Heaven’s joy is not reserved for the dramatic rescue. It includes a woman on her knees in the dust for something small that still belongs to her. The coin did not find its way home. She did the finding.
How you’d preach it
Use beside the prodigal so Luke 15 is not only a son story. God searches. The church is meant to sweep, not wait.
