Luke 24
Object lesson
Luke 2:1–20
Luke’s sign is not a star first. It is a manger. The Messiah is announced by a feeding trough in a borrowed space, wrapped because newborns get cold. Incarnation is not an idea about God becoming friendly. It is God small enough to need straw. The shepherds are told they will find him by the ordinary furniture of a barn. Christmas is a scandal of scale.
How you’d preach it
Hold the humble object, not only candles. The claim is that God came all the way down. Do not sand that into charm.
