One man thanks God he is not like other men. The other will not lift his eyes and asks for mercy. Jesus says the second went home…

Luke 18
Story
Luke 18:1–8
An unjust judge who does not fear God is worn down by a widow with no leverage except her voice. Jesus says, hear what the unjust judge says — and then how much more will God. The parable is about prayer that stays, not about a reluctant Father. If a corrupt official can be moved by persistence, the holy God is not less attentive than that.
How you’d preach it
Use when prayer has gone quiet. Persistence is not nagging a stingy God. It is faith that the Judge is better than the one in the story.
