Story
Corrie ten Boom, The Hiding Place (1971)
In the concentration camp at Ravensbrück, Corrie ten Boom and her sister Betsie were packed into a barracks so infested with fleas that even the guards would not enter. Betsie insisted they give thanks for every detail of their room, including the fleas. Corrie could not. Later they realized the infestation was the reason they could hold Bible studies unhindered. The thing they most wanted removed was the thing that made faithfulness possible. Corrie later wrote the story in The Hiding Place.
